joacofab
Hi. My ASA N 16" f/3.6 is installed in Chile, I live in Panama, last time I was in Atacama one of the screws felt below the wood deck, I wasted almost 3 hours getting the screw out therefore I would like to have extra push and pull collimating screws, I asked ASA support about the screws sizes, their reply was that the push and pull screws have the same diameter, however in a photo I took from the primary mirror cell I can see they do not have the same diameter, my problem is that from the photo I cannot figure out the screw sizes and Chile is really far away from Panama. Does anyone knows what is the size of the push and pull collimation screws? Thanks, Joaquin MPC Code W95
admin
Hello Joaquin, I think Dietmar already send you the answer by email, if you have further questions please don't hesitate to contact him again. The screw size is the same on both screws (M6). (The 3 holes for the push screws are a bit larger but M6x50 DIN912 fit in.) For safety and optimal adjustment take 3 pcs. M6x55 DIN912 with you. The screw lenght depends on the thickness from the main- mirror. Take a lookt a these images:
