YahooGroup
This is a transfered topic from the ASA Yahoo Group. Posted By: dale.liebenberg Thu Apr 18, 2013 1:19 pmHi All,Lately I have had problems when trying to connect to a new instance of AS viaAscom. The calling app, eg. ACP hangs up.I traced the problem to 2x Astrooptik processes running. It seems that the process does not always shut down when AS exits. When I start up AS again, there are two instances of the process running. Anyidea why this is happening?Dale___________________________________Posted By: bernd_eppinger Sat Apr 20, 2013 10:08 amHi, Dale,Occasionally, I have the same effect. Sometimes, it happens when I do something wrong like disconnecting the USB cable to the mount before trying to shut-down Autoslew, but I also observed it when I saw no obvious reason. My workaround is to kill the AstroOptikServer.exe with the task-manager when it happens. I don't know how to fix the root cause.Best regards,Bernd___________________________________Posted By: dale.liebenberg Mon Apr 22, 2013 12:01 pmThat is what I also do. But because it means shutting down AS it can be a problem for remote observatories and manual home find (which I tend to use) Dale
