YahooGroup
This is a transfered topic from the ASA Yahoo Group. Posted By: peter2a6 Sun Mar 31, 2013 8:21 pmI am suffering from what appears to one or more loose elements in my 2" ASAcorrector. Some in this group have had success correcting this problem bytightening the retaining ring on the element closest to the secondary mirror.Does anyone know if the lens cell has more than one of these retaining rings? Inother words, will tightening the exposed ring (end near secondary) applypressure to the remaining elements in the lens cell? I would expect this not tobe the case.Peter____________________________________________________________Posted By: aperezam Mon Apr 1, 2013 4:53 pmHi Peter,The one at the end of the corrector is the only retaining ring.Taking it out you can dismantle the whole thing, and yes, tighteningit will apply pressure to all the elements in the lens cell.Best regards,Antonio.____________________________________________________________Posted By: peter2a6 Tue Apr 2, 2013 2:55 pmThanks Antonio!Peter
