Important Autoslew bug found in pointing calc

I sent my autopoint files to ASA.

 

I had been asking why on the forum why there is such residual error spread along the  RA axis only.

 

Apparently, tehy found  that the  flexure calculation is wrong.

 

A new Autoslew version should fix this shortly.

I see they just posted Version X.40 hopefully it has the fix.

I don't how much this actually effected tracking and pointing.

Any news from ASA wheather this bug is resolved or not?

This problem with RA residual error and much smaller error in DEC I have had for 2 years! Since this is independent of mount position it doesnt make sense (to me) that it's a mechanical problem.

So even an admittance that it IS a bug is good news to me. Now I hope for a fix as well.

Me too email ASA.  I am waiting too.

Current recommendation is to go into advance pointing  uncheck the the use / optimize for east flexure , west flexure and mount pier flip.

Then let super fit do its thing.

This bug is fixed download the last Autoslew.

If so this is the third or fourth update with the same number...???

Isn't that a bit weird?
